Where We Are: Bungoma

Bungoma is in the Western Province of Kenya, bordered by Uganda in the west. It has a population of approximately 52,700. In the last 10 years, the town has seen a large growth in the reported cases of HIV/AIDS. The incidence of AIDS in Bungoma is unknown, but in Kenya as a whole at least 15% of the population is HIV positive.
